Coaching is part accountability, part motivating and part teaching. Recently I’ve been working with a group of new leaders on general management skills. People management is a big part of our work together. This week, I found myself re-reading The One Minute Manager by Ken Blanchard & Spencer Johnson. For such a small book, that can be read so quickly, there is a great deal of quickly applicable wisdom about getting results from people.
This isn’t just for people with employees. The principles can be applied to any situation where you need something from someone else. I encourage you to dust off your old copy or to get a new one and check in with your One Minute Manager.
